OVERALL RULES
1. No swearing.
2. Be courteous and polite, no rudeness is acceptable. [If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.]
3. Nothing overly gory, keep the blood and guts to a minimum. PG-13, guys.
4. No sexual content. In mating threads, fade to black before anything happens. [Or, better yet, time-skip over that thread completely.]
ROLEPLAYING RULES
1. No power playing or god-modding. That means no super strength, no unbeatable fights, no injuries to another player's cat without their input first, etc.
2. Birds of Prey is semi-realistic. No unnatural fur or eye colors or patterns, and no superpowers.
3. Keep it somewhat literate. Try to post at least one good paragraph per post. [Five sentences, minimum.] It's not that difficult. Just describe the who, what, where, why, and how. Leave us something to reply to. Also remember your spelling, it's hard for others to reply if they don't know what they are reading.
4. Tag your threads! If it's open, leave a note in the title. If you only want certain cats in the thread, add their names to the title. [And if you run out of room, just tag it as closed and add their names in an OOC comment in the post.]
5. No double posting, there is an edit button for a reason.
6. No purely OOC posts in the IC boards. That's no fun, and they will be deleted with a warning given.
CHARACTER RULES
1. No cat is perfect. We all have flaws, and our flaws make us beautiful.
2. Again, we are semi-realistic. No special powers, no outrageous fur or eye colors, no wings, piercings, other crazy stuff.
3. Naming rules: Clan cats have two-part names, the prefix and the suffix.
4. No limit on character counts.
5. A member may only have two high ranks, and they cannot be in the same Clan, nor the same rank. For example, you can have a leader in EagleClan, and a medicine cat in RavenClan, but you can't have a deputy and a leader, or a medicine cat and a medicine cat apprentice. This is just to keep things fair, so every member has a chance for a high rank.
5. Cross-Clan romances, medicine cats having kits, while not abiding by the warrior code, aren't necessarily banned, though the characters involved may have to face the wrath of their leader, so that is a risk you should consider before. Any medicine cats who take a mate and are found out will have to chose between their mate and their Clan, being forced to leave behind one or the other. If a medicine cat has kits and is found out, they will have to relinquish their position within the Clan.
The admins of Birds of Prey reserve the right to add, modify, or remove rules, without notice. If these rules are not followed, there will be no 'trial by a jury of your peers'. This is a dictatorship monarchy, not a democracy. With love, Amber.
